PROM 2014 [Clinton County, Illinois Photographer]
I can't believe it's Prom season already! I feel like this year is flying by! Now, if only the weather would catch up for good, that would be perfect! We are SO excited for this year to be offering Prom sessions for both Mater Dei and Central High School! These are 10 minute sessions, with your date or with your girlfriends! You must have an appointment so be sure to call early to schedule yours! The best times will go quickly!
You will even be able to view and order your images at that same appointment! Ordered images will go on Facebook & Instagram.
You spent weeks looking for a dress and hours on getting ready... Let show it off for you!
Las Vegas or BUST! [Clinton County, IL Photographer]
This time next week, we'll be enjoying awesome sights and beautiful weather, on top of some of the best education the photography industry can offer. We're headed to Vegas for a few workshops and I couldn't be more excited! Last time I was there, it was for a WPPI National convention in 2012 - I met some incredible role models of mine and even got to spend a little time sight seeing. This time, we're headed not only to that same convention again, but also to another workshop centered on senior photography. It's going to be AMAZING! Last time around, I brought my husband along (who spent most of his time golfing ;)). This time, our own creative director, Amy, is packing her bags. She has been studying photography for the past year and has come a long way - I can't wait to see her put some of the knowledge into action at the workshops. PLUS we're looking forward to seeing some new products from top labs and coming home with lots of incredible education and some new products! I get so excited for these workshops every year because, for me, it's like the spark. It gives me the tools I need to KNOW we are providing the best possible portraits, products and service that we possibly can.
Here's to another awesome year!
Kristin + Brandon [Married]
What started out as a dark, stormy morning, turned into one of the most beautiful days of the summer. Although the rain had us nervous, thunder storming during mass, as soon as they said "I now announce to you, Mr. and Mrs Weathers", the clouds left and the sun came out! It made for an absolutely perfect afternoon for portraits! I have known Kristin since grade school and to see what an amazing wife and mother she has become is so incredible! And Brandon just might be one of the sweetest husbands on the planet... Talk about melting my heart - When they were doing their "first look" without actually looking and holding hands around the door, all his groomsmen were telling him how gorgeous Kristin looked to which his response was, "Yea, well she doesn't need a big special day and a white dress to do that so I can't imagine what she looks like now." I about cried right in the back of church!
Later that evening, at the reception, Brandon choose to dance with his daughters. It was the sweetest moment and I don't think there was a dry eye in the reception hall, especially Kristin. It was so beautiful to witness that sweet moment between their family.
Brandon and Kristin - Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your big day and here's to many, many years of happiness and super cute blonde babies :)

Mackenzie - Central High School - Clinton County Senior Photographer
Oh. My. Gorgeous. <--- That pretty much sums up how I feel about Ms. Mackenzie. She's a dedicated cheerleader, an incredible artist and she has the most beautiful personality! I absolutely loved working with her and her mom, Paula. We had a great time talking about what sort of images Mackenzie wanted, and designing a shoot around exactly that!
Mackenzie loves to paint, draw and read, so we created a concept shoot with that! Concept shoots require lots of planning and are highly stylized with props and outfit details! Think of a production for a magazine add and that's what our concept shoots are like! We absolutely LOVED the way Mackenzie's turned out and I can't wait to show her the rest!
Mackenzie and Paula - I had such a wonderful time working with you both! Mackenzie, you are such a bright, talented girl and I know you're going to do big things in the future! I can't wait to show you everything next week!

Lydia - Central High School - Clinton County Senior Photographer
I had so much fun with Lydia and her mom, Mary! We came up with a great plan from the start and I am SO happy with the way everything turned out! She put a ton of thought into her eight outfits (which I LOVED!) and her locations. We even used locations that were special to her and her parents, like Scottrade Center and her family's business. Being a die-hard Blues fan, of course we had to go down there for a few images. I know they are about to head out on vacation (luckies!) so I hope we were able to get this up for you before you left! Enjoy the sneak peek and we can't wait to show you them all!
