At our studio, we LOVE to play with hair and make-up and experiment with different techniques and styles! And those images are some of our favorites and it always turn out gorgeous! Also, it’s fun and sometimes can make us feel more confident or ease the insecurities we all have. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that!
But equally important is that every once in a while we recognize the beauty in something completely and utterly untouched. Something with no make-up done, no hair styled and no editing. The honestly and rawness behind the image is something that can make us feel STRONGER knowing we had the courage to put it out there, no face tune required.
My point is to prove that while it’s completely awesome to have fun and create a pampering, luxurious experience for a once in a lifetime occasion, it’s also okay to go without it. What makes you beautiful and makes you look radiant is not the make-up, or the hair, or the stylist, or the backdrop, or the clothes, or photoshop, or the editor, or a magic camera, or, or, or….
It’s you. It’s your smile. It’s your eyes, your crazy hair, the way your laugh, the way you think, the way you see the world.
Once you can see that, and truly believe it, the rest is just for fun.
